Literally no changes this week in BHE's top division.  The "big game" between the Savages and Top Whale was surprisingly one-sided (7-0 Savages), but other than that, everything went as one might assume.  The Nighthawks beat up on the Xtreme (7-3), and all the teams took care of their division 2 crossover game except for the Xtreme...who dropped a 6-3 decision to Redline.  Of note, the Walruses (top-ranked team from division 2) gave a very short-benched Savage team a run for their money.  They opened up by jumping out to a 2-0 lead before eventually falling 3-2 to the defending National Champs.

LEADING SCORER - Lee Jubinville - Savages - 8 gp 4-8-12

A "what have you done for my lately" move has surged red-hot Bar South from 5th to 2nd in this weeks power-rankings.  Bar South started the week by knocking off the Cobras 5-2, a team they have had their struggles with in the past.  They followed that up with an even more impressive 9-2 spanking of the previously 2nd-ranked Team Pending.  The Walruses maintain their top-ranked status as they fended off Team Pending in a 5-4 ot win to start their week, then took the Savages to brink before losing 3-2.  Despite the Raging Bulls evening the season series with Redline thanks to a 3-0 win, Redline gets the nod in the rankings.  A 6-3 win over the winless Xtreme paired with a 4-0 loss by the Bulls to the Nighthawks gives Redline a slight edge.

LEADING SCORER - Mike Badun - Cobras - 8 gp 8-10-18

Easily one of the most competitive divisions in BHE.  The Rangers staved off all comers to maintain top-ranking, going 3-0...although they only played one actual game within the division this week (one forfeit, one against a team that moved out).  The Killer Bees look to be gaining steam, as they dropped one of the three in a close 5-4 decision against the Sharks, but beat both Haggard and the Dirty Birds.  The Reapers were the only other perfect 3-0 team this week, they gained 2 points against each of the Rush, Blobfish and Smashville to grab the #3 seed.  Every team in the division earned at least one win, except for the Farm Team, who's first week in since jumping up from division 6 proved fruitless.

LEADING SCORER - Jackson Dudley - Burger Kings - 8 gp 15-9-24

Perfect 2-0 records this week from the top-3 seeds, the Soldiers was just more impressive (6-3 vs 7C's and 7-2 vs Crown Royals).  The Nightmares got off with a forfeit victory versus the Crown Royals, and then slipped past the Rockets 6-5...a game in which they found themselves down 4-0 to start, before ripping off 5-straight goals in a span of 5:42 in the second half to pull out the W.  Both the Human Centipedes and 7C's posted 1-1 marks this week, the difference being the 7C's win came against the Human Centipedes.  The bottom three teams combined for an 0-7 mark.

Division 7 is book-ended by two teams who stayed put in this weeks rankings.  The Silver Kings for the good (2-0), the Afterburners for the not so good (0-2).  At the top, the Ukraine Athletic earned a big 7-4 win over the Snipers to leap-frog them for the #2 spot.  The newcomer, Liberty Tax Lions, and the Spartans both moved up thanks to picking up a win each this week, while Team Ferda, despite earning a win against the bottom-ranked Afterburners, dropped a spot.  The Larry's had a rough week, dropping both games to fall from 4 to 6.

The GWOPS continued their winning ways to stay atop the division rankings.  The Rink Rats and Black Ice ,the only other teams to also go 2-0 over the week, moved up in the rankings.  Also moving up were YDP and Southside BHC.  Both these teams posted 1-1 marks.  The two teams that fell in the rankings, the Predators (0-2-1) and Cobra Kai (0-2-0) both kicked off their first week in the division without picking up a victory.  The Preds salvaged a single point thanks to pushing the Rink Rats to overtime before falling.

One week into their new division and the Squids are proving they're for real.  An impressive 4-3 win over the Rampage, along with a 2-1 overall record for the week bumped them into the top-seed.  The Rampage fall just the one spot, as the loss versus the Squids was their only blemish during the week.  The King stayed put at 3, while the Wolfpac jumped up to spots to 4...thanks to a hard-fought 3-2 win over the top-ranked Squids.  The Shockers were just that during their opening foray into division 10, losing all three games and crashing from the obviously optimistic #2 seed to the bottom seed (#8).

Only one team moved up this week, but it was a big one as the Tin Bashers leapt from #7 all the way to #1 on the strength of a 2-1 record.  The two wins happened to come against the previously #1 and #2 ranked teams in the division, the No Dekes and the Gremlins.  Three teams stayed put including the Gremlins at #2, the Thunder Buddies at #4 and the Mad Dogs at #8.  For the rest, it was a downward move with the No Dekes and Regulators each giving up two spots, while the Canadians and Piranhas fell one.  Of note, the Canadians were the only team to go undefeated this week, posting a perfect 2-0 record...but still fell a spot, this was because both wins came against the only teams below them in the rankings.

LEADING SCORER - Darcy Carroll - Tin Bashers - 9 gp 9-12-21

The Bacardi Oil take over the divisions top-seed...picking up two straight victories this week.  The bottom-ranked Blazers failed to earn a W, but did manage an overtime point against the Bacardi Oil.  Every other team posted a 1-1 mark over the past 7 days.  It should be an interesting race over the final 2/3 of this season.
